Was worried the bricks would be loose like other off-brand kits but every piece clicks in solid. The bolt actually moves and the mag drops free when you press the catch. Took me two evenings.
Handguard section took some patience, two plates fought me. Everything else was smooth and it looks fantastic finished.
ABS feels dense, not hollow. The stock section is rock solid which is usually the weak point on these.
He's ex-army and very picky about proportions. He said the silhouette is spot on and now it hangs over his desk.
The wood-tone bricks against the black body look way better in person. Friends thought it was a prop until they picked it up.
The internal mechanism took me three tries to get right. Once it clicked everything worked. Display value is a solid five, build frustration knocked it down.
A few steps around the receiver were hard to read, had to backtrack twice. Finished model is great, just budget patience. A brick separator tool would help, get one.
Set aside more time than you think, this is not a one-evening build if you want it clean. Result is worth it.
Kit itself is excellent. Just wish it came with more ammo for the launch function, grab the refill pack if you plan to actually use it.
