I nearly did not buy this because ninety dollars felt like a lot for a toy. Three weeks in it has been used more than anything else we own. The reason is that there is nothing to set up - no vests, no batteries, no straps. They pick one off the dock and the game starts.

My six year old struggles a little with the weight and the mode button. My nine year old is perfect with it. Eight plus is about right.

Every other toy we buy turns into a fight over whose turn it is. Four blasters means all the cousins play at once. Worth it for that alone.
